James (Jim) C. White Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of South Weymouth, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at the age of 86. After a lengthy illness, Jim died peacefully at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers. Jim was born in Weymouth on January 22, 1935, to James Carlton White Sr and Anna Norton White. The youngest of three children, Jim graduated from Weymouth Vocational High School. Jim was the beloved husband of 62 years to Barbara (Leslie) White. He spent his working years as a specialty woodworker and cabinet maker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Claire (White) Hickey. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children, Jeffrey White and Wendy (White) Prell, his sister, Marylin (White) Stokes, son-in-law, Danny Prell, his grandchildren, Sabrina Prell, Daniel Prell, granddaughter-in-law, Krista Gregory, and great-grandchildren, Becky Gregory and Michael Prell. He was a dear man, greatly loved by all.
