Janann Speedie Britt died on Friday, October 6th several weeks after her 95th birthday. Jan was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Col. Daniel T. Britt Jr., and their daughter, Karen Britt.

Born in Bellville, IL, Jan served in the US Navy during WWII. While studying math at Purdue University, Jan met and married her husband. She followed her husband's Air Force career which let them to Tempe, AZ; Ann Arbor, MI; Dayton, OH; London, England; Ft. Walton Beach, FL; Palos Verdes, CA; San Bernadino, CA; Boston, MA; and Seattle, WA., eventually retiring in Green Valley, AZ. Jan later moved to Winter Park, FL to be closer to her son, Daniel Britt III, his wife, Judith C. Britt, and her grandchildren, Chris and Devon Britt.

Janann will be interred next to her husband at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Toys for Tots or Doctors Without Borders.
