Jane T. Scudder of The Villages, FL born July 12, 1944, passed away March 18, 2026 in hospice care. She had been experiencing dementia symptoms for two years and in March of 2025 she and her husband moved to the Watercrest assisted living facility.

She was born in Boston to Fred and Hannah MacEachern along with two sisters, Joan(Cleary) and Judi(Rutherford) and a brother(Robert). She is survived by her husband John, daughter Patricia Topping(Ken) of Glen Ridge, NJ, son David(Trisha) of Kennett Square, PA, a sister Judi Rutherford(Jim) of The Villages, FL, and 5 grandchildren as well as 13 nieces and nephews.

Jane started her education at Dorchester H.S., and continued on to a BS.in Education at Bridgewater State University where she met her husband. She spent most of her career teaching high school math, first at Whitman-Hanson Regional and then at Bourne, MA. In between those she was the owner and operated The Village News and Coffee Shop in East Bridgewater, MA. She lived in Hanson, Middleboro, and Cape Cod before moving to The Villages 19 years ago.
