Janet M
Aigotti
December 28, 1936 – May 5, 2026
Janet Aigotti, lovingly known for her strong spirit, quick wit, and deep love for her family, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 5, 2026, in Summerfield at the age of 89.
Born on December 28, 1936, in Queens NY, Janet spent her early years embracing the fast-paced energy of New York City. In 1971, she and her beloved husband, Mike Aigotti, moved to Orlando to begin a new chapter together with their three children. In 1972, they proudly opened an Italian restaurant, Lakeside Villa and later became Mike’s Lakeside Villa. This restaurant created not only a business but a gathering place filled with good food, laughter, and lasting memories.
After years of hard work, Janet and Mike retired to The Villages in 1993, where Janet fully enjoyed life and the many friendships she made along the way. She loved golfing, bowling, spending time at the pool, and was an avid bingo player. She also enjoyed playing cards, cooking for those she loved, and sharing stories with friends and family.
Janet was known for being wonderfully opinionated, fiercely loyal, and endlessly loving toward her family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for animals and never missed an opportunity to spend time with the people she cherished most.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Aigotti, and her daughter, Donna Harrison.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Linda Cardone and husband Richard; her son, Michael Aigotti and wife Ginger; her grandchildren Tony Bryan and wife Kristin, Chris Bryan, Lindsay Bryan, Jono Bryan and wife Kelsey, Christina Steele and husband Austin, Garrett Aigotti and girlfriend Hayden, and Laura Evans and husband Daniel. She also leaves behind 4 great-grandsons, 7 great-granddaughters and 1 great great-grandson who is on the way, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her tremendously.
Her family takes comfort knowing that Janet’s strength, humor, and love will continue to live on in everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Janet’s life will be announced at a later date.
