Janet "Jan" Elizabeth Carlson (71), of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018, completely surrounded by her entire, loving family. She was born in Joliet, Illinois to George and Lenora Kirman on September 20, 1947. Jan married Daniel Carlson in Buffalo, Iowa on July 15, 1978, and they had 40 beautiful years together. Jan was possibly best known for being so dedicated to her children and completely adoring of all her grandchildren. As for past-times, she really loved spending time with Daniel while they enjoyed any of the "Law & Order" television programs. It is Jan's light and love that shall be missed terribly by all those whom have known her.

Jan is predeceased by her parents, George Edward Kirman and Lenora Kirman (Mostyn).

She is survived by her loving husband and caretaker, Daniel Carlson; by her daughter, Rhonda Carlson of Murphysboro, IL; her son, Robert Johnson and his daughter, Alexis, of Mount Dora, FL; by her grandson, Robert Johnson, Jr., his fiancée, Alexa Parco, and his children, Bryce and McKenzie, of Leesburg, FL; by her sister, Beverly Greiner and her husband, Richard, of Mount Dora, FL; and by her brother, George D. Kirman and his wife, Betty, of Arkansas.

Services for Jan will be organized by her family at a later time.
