Born April 18, 1932 in Geneva, Ohio. Age 84, died July 23, 2016 at Legacy Hospice House.  Beloved wife of Dan Elsas for 65 years come August 24, 2016.  Loving mother of Robert Elsas of Douglassville, and Suzanne Schmitt of Gasport, NY. Cherished grandmother of Joshua Hagler and Christine Sani. Great-grandmother of Shakira and Zion Sani.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Stineman and Kathryn Spring Stineman and her sister Virginia Stineman.

Janet was a native of Geneva, Ohio, graduating high school in 1951. She then went on to graduate from the Cleveland Business School and Dental Assistant Training at Strong Memorial in Rochester, NY.

She was married at Geneva Baptist Church on August 24, 1951 to Dan Elsas.

Janet was professionally trained and sang in vocal activities at church and plays.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Behm Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway in Geneva, Ohio. Memorial Gathering will be from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

Interment will follow the memorial service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva, OH.
