Janet Lynn (Koenig) Moore passed away peacefully at the age of 82 after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer on June 18, 2025 in Ocala, Florida.

Janet (Jan) Koenig was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on Sept. 28, 1942, to Ben and Margaret Koenig. She attended Davin public school and Central High School in Regina and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Nursing Degree at The University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She also received a Masters Degree while living in the Bay Area. Jan was an excellent student and an elite swimmer in both synchronized and speed through the Regina YWCA. Her nursing career included leadership roles, developing leaders and teaching.

Jan married Patrick Moore in Chicago, Illinois. They had no children. They retired to Ocala Florida, where Pat predeceased her by almost four years. Jan is survived by a brother, Bob Koenig and his wife Norma Koenig and their daughter Rebecca Rich and son in law Tom Rich all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Rich's have three children Abbie, Livvie and Ellie. She also has a sister Betty Holthe of Diamond Valley, Alberta.
