Janis Ann Cooney, 74, of Ocala, FL passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at home after her battle with Parkinson's disease.  She was born in Scranton, PA to Joseph and Josephine Benci.  Janis is a 1965 graduate of Marywood College in Scranton, PA where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics and Business.  In 1968 she married her husband Dennis Cooney, who survives her along with their daughters Tracy Renna and Jessica Oldenburg.  No services are planned at this time.
