Jean Celeste Fahnestock, 85, Edgewater FL passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013. Jean was born in Miami, FL and moved to Edgewater from Cocoa in 1964. She and her late husband George opened Fat Boy's BBQ in Edgewater in 1964. She later owned and operated Circle F Western Wear in New Smyrna Beach and retired later from Sears. Her family remembered her love for reading, gardening, shell collecting, attending barrel racing events with her children and how much she enjoyed her several years of retirement in the mountains of North Carolina. Jean leaves to cherish her memory her children Lynn Fahnestock and companion Charlie Crouthamel, Pat and Ron Van Eck, Lynda Fahnestock and companion Rhonda Campbell, Allan and Caroline Fahnestock, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George Martin Fahnestock and granddaughter Codi Smith. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 3rd from 6 to 8 PM at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach. A graveside service will be 10:00AM Wednesday at Edgewater New Smyrna Cemetery.
