Obituary

Jean Marie Pigott, of Ocala, FL, passed away February 5, 2026. Jean was born May 4, 1928 to the late Charles Lambiotte and Virginia Easter West Lambiotte in Fairmont, WV. She graduated from East Fairmont High School where she participated in band, Girls Athletic Association, Girl Reserves and Sports Carnival. Jean attended the International Typographical Union Training Center in Colorado Springs, and lived and worked in West Virginia in Fairmont, Charleston, and Elkins and in Washington, DC.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lt. Colonel George Pigott, her brother Charles E. Lambiotte, sister-in-law Christine Lambiotte, and sister-in-law Janet Sue “Susie” Kincaid Lambiotte. She is survived by her brother Brent Lambiotte, nephew Joe Lambiotte (Sondra), nephew Brent Lambiotte II, niece Ashleigh Lambiotte, nephew J.B. Wilfong, step-daughter Susan Windsor, and cousins Sarabeth Lamm, Jack West, Doris Snyder, Tom West, Gene "Bud" West.

Jean was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed dancing, singing, reciting poetry, traveling, watching Jeopardy and spending time with friends and family. After retiring to Ocala, Jean and George continued to spend many summers and holidays in West Virginia.

Jean's family wishes to thank Lynn Shepherd for her dedicated friendship and support; also Bridgewater Park staff, Cates Hospice House, and friend Shirley Rutledge. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society. An inurnment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
