Jeanne Vlerebome, loving wife of Richard Vlerebome, died at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages Florida on February 23, 2025 due to complications following Pneumonia.
Jeanne was born February 25, 1952 in New York to Jim and Marjorie Robertson and graduated from Boston College with high honors. She married Richard on April 4, 1998. Jeanne and Rich lived in New Jersey until 2005 when they moved to The Villages, Florida.
Loving the village life, Jeanne and Rich joined New Covenant United Methodist where Jeanne participated in church activities such as women's groups, Bargain and Blessings helping families in need, and she never missed a Sunday worship either in person or online. Jeanne also was part of Friends of the Villages, a volunteer library group. Although through out her life she battled anxiety and depression, Jeanne never let it get her down and was also the most loving wife and friend to all around her. Jeanne's fondest joys were talking to her friends, sisters, and brother, and especially to her grandchildren from her stepson Brian and Nicole Vlerebome, who live in California. She visited them each year with Rich and adored Ryder and Maribel, who called her Grandma Jeanne. They were her greatest gift since she did not have children of her own.
Jeanne is survived by her brother Jim Robertson, sister Jane Zielinski, and sister Janet Armentrout. As well as her stepson and stepdaughter Brian and Nicole Vlerebome and her grandchildren Ryder and Maribel. All supported her through her illness and showed true love. She was blessed to have her neighbors so close and loving visiting her at the hospital and praying each day along with our pastors from the church.
Jeanne will be cremated with a memorial Service at New Covenant United Methodist church on May 31st at 11:00. Her urn will be placed in the columbarium behind the church near a beautiful waterfall. A celebration of her life with a reception will follow the service at Churchill Recreation Center from 1:30-4:30.
