Jeannine A. (Cloutier) Demers, 90, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Hawthorne Assisted Living in Ocala, FL.
Born on December 27, 1935, in Manchester, NH, she was the beloved daughter of the late Leo and Virginia Cloutier. Jeannine graduated from Manchester Central High School and married her high school sweetheart, Roger J. Demers, on April 15, 1955. Together, they built a loving family and raised five children.
Jeannine was a devoted wife and mother, a meticulous homemaker, an excellent seamstress, and a wonderful cook who especially loved celebrating the holidays with family and friends.
As her children grew older, she was employed for many years as a salesclerk at Leavitt’s Department Store, Montgomery Ward and later retired from Amoskeag Bank.
Jeannine and Roger relocated to Ocala, FL, where they spent more than thirty years enjoying retirement and life together.
A woman of deep faith, Jeannine was an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala. She generously served for many years as a Eucharistic Minister and parish volunteer. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life.
Jeannine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger J. Demers, and her eldest son, David L. Demers.
She is survived by her children: Kenneth Demers and his wife, Dora, of Redlands, CA; June Demers of Portsmouth, NH; Nancy Demers and Anthony Demers, both of Framingham, MA. She was a cherished grandmother to Joel Demers of Framingham, MA; Samantha Boutin of Durham, NH; Sarah Boutin and her husband, Trevor, of Lee, NH; and a proud great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. Jeannine is also survived by a brother, Steven Cloutier and his wife, Diane, of Weare, NH.
A funeral mass for Jeannine has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 8:30AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 6455 SW State Rd 200, Ocala, Florida 34476
