Obituary

Jeannine (LeBreux) Lizotte, age 75, peacefully passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Ormond Beach FL surrounded by her husband and children on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023.

Jeannine (Jean) is survived by her husband and best friend for the past 58 years Charles Lizotte, of Daytona Beach F: (formerly of Enfield CT and Fall River MA) her son David Lizotte of Enfield CT and her daughter Shari Lizotte Donohue of Surf City NC along with their respective spouses Susan (Arre) Lizotte and Sean Donahue as well as her 4 grandchildren, Andrew Hubbard, Cara Lizotte, Gavin Donahue, and Alicia Lizotte. She also leaves behind two brothers Jean (John) LeBreux and his wife Linda of Crossville TN and brother Donald LeBreux and his wife Donna of Swansea MA. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law Gertrude LeBreux  of Port Charlotte FL, Nancy LeBreux, and  Ann LeBreux both of Swansea MA as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Emile and Germaine (St. Laurent) LeBreux and her late sisters and their spouses Pauline Pichette (Raymond), Lorraine Bisson (Rudy) and her most beloved and identical twin sister Jacqueline Mosher (Dur wood) and her brothers Charles (Moe), Raymond (Beverly), George (Ann), Paul (Nancy), and Ernest/Biz Evelyn).

Jeannine was born on December 4th, 1947, in Swansea (Fall River) MA. She graduated from Case High School in Swansea MA and  attended Tunxis Community College in CT where she studied Criminal Justice. After a successful life and career which included moves and travel around the world including a couple of years in Cape Town South Africa,

After working in retail management, Jean  began a new career in the CT Dept of Corrections where she worked for more than 20 years achieving the position of Supervising Lieutenant and Hostage Negotiator as well as receiving a Preservation of Life Commendation. She also was a Certified CPR & First Aid Instructor and taught many courses at the CT Corrections Academy.

Jeannine was a great and loving person and mother. She married Charles Lizotte of Fall River MA on August 7 th , 1965, and the couple had two children together and eventually retired and moved to her dream home in Daytona Beach FL with her husband.

Jeannine was socially active woman and a member of the Pelican Bat Ladies Golf Assoc., Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, and Baha Shrine Ladies and was deeply involved in supporting charitable causes. She enjoyed golfing, travelling, cruising, reading, painting, crafting, and especially playing Texas Hold "Em poker with her friends. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind, generous, accepting, and loving person.

A Celebration of Life in her honor  is scheduled for Sunday,  August 6 th ,  2023 between the hours of 1:30 p .m to 4:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4089 at 5130 Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange FL 32127. Her ashes will be deposited on Monday, August 7 th at the Care Canaveral National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. there to lay in wait for her husband.

Memorial donations can be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary on her behalf.
