Jeff Davis Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away May 11th, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Tracey Davis; his son, Jeff Davis Jr. and wife Lisa R. Davis; and two grandchildren who were the light of his life—Hannah Davis, 20, and Connor Davis, 15.

Jeff dedicated 32 years to the fire service, retiring as Deputy Chief from the James Island Fire Department in South Carolina. He was known for his steady leadership, his deep compassion for others, and his unwavering commitment to protecting his community.

Beyond his service, Jeff’s greatest passions were his family, friends, and fishing. Whether casting a line or sharing time with those he loved, he found joy in the connections that made life meaningful. He will be remembered as a good man with a generous heart, a steady presence, a competitive spirit and a love that shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friends and colleagues he inspired, and the countless lives he touched.

A memorial service is planned for early summer.
