IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffrey David
Armontrout
January 22, 1957 – May 6, 2025
Jeffrey David Armontrout , 68, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on May 6, 2025, With his devoted wife by his side.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Army before dedicating his life to protecting and serving others as a police officer. Known for his integrity, strength, and deep sense of duty, Jeff was honored with the Police Professionalism of the Year Award—just one reflection of the pride he took in doing the right thing, the right way.
But beyond the uniform, Jeff was a man of warmth, laughter, and boundless heart. He loved traveling to new places, casting a line in a quiet fishing spot, and making people laugh with his sharp wit and big smile and sharing a cold beer among Friends. Whether you knew him for years or met him for five minutes, you knew you were in the company of someone genuine.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Tina Armontrout ; his children Meghan Radcliff(Kelley)and Patrick Armontrout (Jennifer); his stepchildren Marci Foltz(Michael), Austin Morrison, and Levi Morrison(Abigayle); and his grandchildren Ian, Maxwell, Gracelyn, Allie, Addison, Abigail, Gavin, Caroline(Little-bit), Xander and Amelia. He is also survived by his brother Bobby Armontrout (Deborah); brother-in-law Rick Stewart; and many nieces and nephews. He was a proud father and grandfather who believed family was everything—and he showed it every single day.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Patricia and Robert Armontrout ; his sister, Victoria Stewart; and his most special grandmother, Ann Thompson.
His generosity was beyond compare and his heart was so big he made everyone feel loved and cherished. His love has left a mark on our hearts that will never fade. The days will not be as bright without him but his family and friends will continue to live out his legacy with all the love, laughter and heart he would have wanted for them.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, the family asks that in place of flowers or donations, you raise a glass, share your favorite memory of Jeff, and hug your friends and family tight—just the way he would have done.
