IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffrey Scott
Jackson
April 5, 1958 – May 1, 2025
Jeff Jackson, born in Franklin, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, Florida, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family. Hailing from Knightstown, Indiana, Jeff's life was a journey rich with purpose, dedication, and heartfelt service—a life that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Risa Mosier Jackson, on September 2, 1978, forging a bond that stood the test of time and countless memories. Jeff's impact on his community was profound—spurred by his relentless spirit as a volunteer firefighter, EMT, and CPR educator, always ready to lend a helping hand. His commitment extended to his work on the ERT as a confined space rescue expert, embodying courage, and selflessness. Jeff retired from Eli Lilly & Company, where he contributed as a Senior Process Operator in the Pharmaceutical Division, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jeff's passions ignited his soul—creating beautiful woodworking pieces, tending to his garden and hydroponics garden with love, feeling the sun and sea at the beach, and exploring the mysteries beneath the ocean as a scuba diver. His father in law once commented that Jeff could put a seed into concrete and it would still grow. His greatest joy was undoubtedly his family—cheering passionately for his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Matthew, and cherishing every moment spent with them. Jeff was treasured not only as a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal friend but as a man of deep humor, unwavering values, and boundless heart.
He leaves behind his wife, Risa Jackson; his son, James Jackson (Apryl); his sister-in-law, Denise Nelis; and his treasured grandchildren, Elizabeth and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Donald and Kay Jackson, and his sister, Janet Jackson.
A private service will be held to honor his remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL , whose compassionate care supported Jeff and his family during his final days, or to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in memory of his service as a Firefighter and First Responder.
Jeff's spirit, kindness, and indomitable love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him, a testament to a life truly well-lived.
