Jeffrey Joseph Lopez (Jeff), 72, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with lung disease.

Jeff was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on August 2nd, 1952 to Mary Ann Nemeth Lopez, and Julius Lopez. Jeff was a devoted fan of the Eagles and all Philadelphia sports. He loved to play sports himself, growing up playing football and lacrosse, fishing and hunting. Jeff attended Liberty High School in Bethlehem, and later Widener College in Philadelphia.

Jeff was easy to get along with and was known by friends and family for his contagious sense of humor, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. He touched many lives and truly loved to connect with people as a director of the Daytona YMCA Handicapable Program for over sixteen years.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Julius and Mary Ann Lopez. He is survived by his wife, Tess Lopez, son John Lopez, and daughter Caitlin Lopez.

Family and friends will gather in celebration of Jeff's life on Friday, June 6th , 2025 between 2-4pm at Baldwin Funeral Home in Ormond Beach. A brief prayer service will be delivered by his brother-in-law, Fr. Dan Sabban. Reception and mass will follow at family residence after 5pm.
