In loving memory of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Jennie Rivera Beachy de Encarnacion at the age of 78, she entered the presence of the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, April 9th, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.

Jennie was born September 28th, 1946, in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico a daughter of the late Antonio Rivera. Part of the Fresh Air program (which provides opportunities out in rural America for New York City children from underserved communities), Jennie was raised and later adopted by the late Milton and Bertha Beachy of Salisbury, PA.

Our mother worked and retired from Eaton Corporation in Sarasota, FL. She was a member of Iglesia Evangelica Menonita Nueva Vida; with her move to downtown Sarasota, she fellowshipped at La Cosecha en Cristo and after moving to Venice attended Coastal Community Church. Mom was dedicated to serving Christ her Savior by teaching Sunday school and disciplining women and traveled as a missionary to Dominican Republic and Peru.

While living in Sarasota, Mom enjoyed making meals for family and friends always willing to share a recipe. She filled her time using her creativity making crafts. She also loved music and singing in harmony with friends.

Mom leaves her ex-husband, Ambrosio Encarnacion, whom she married July 26th, 1968, and divorced 2015; daughter Diana Encarnacion, son Darwin and wife Jennifer Encarnacion, grandchildren Anthony Encarnacion, Jessica Alexander, Dyandra and husband Brian Vasquez, Jacob Encarnacion, Joseph Encarnacion, Joshua Encarnacion, great-grandchildren Yulianna Vasquez and Brian Vasquez Jr.

Mom was preceded in death by a daughter, Damaris, who died shortly after birth in 1975.

After a lengthy illness, our family finds peace in knowing Mom is in the arms of her Savior.
