Jennie Ann (Iapaluccio) Rongetti, 73, of Apopka, Florida passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024. Jennie was born and raised in Danbury, CT where she attended Danbury schools and spent many years raising her children before moving to Florida. While in Florida, Jennie became a certified phlebotomy technician.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Josephine (Zarcone) Iapaluccio and sister Christine. Survived by her loving family, daughter, Sharon (Mike) Amalfitano, son, Anthony (Christina) Rongetti; three grandchildren, Taylor Rongetti, Chase and Caden Amalfitano; two sisters, Cathy (Bob) Wilsey and Joanne (Rick) Murphy; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
As a young adult, her radiant beauty provided opportunities in the TV and modeling industries. Jennie dedicated her life to serving as a hospital volunteer and established herself as a caregiver in the healthcare field as well as the food service industry. With her unwavering faith in God, she regularly attended church services and enjoyed her Catholic church group. Jennie's father was a CT Hall of Fame bowler who enjoyed teaching her the strategies and techniques of bowling which became a favorite activity. With her love of animals, Jennie spent many years rescuing and rehoming numerous dogs. She had a passion for travel which allowed her to experience many beautiful destinations, enjoying long walks and day trips to Coco beach with friends, swimming and was an avid reader.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Apopka Health and Rehabilitation along with Advent Health Hospice Care Gold Team for the compassionate care provided.
The family will be announcing a celebration of life in Danbury, CT in the coming months.
