Jerry Edward McBroom 79 was born in Electra, Texas to Ruby (More) McBroom and Dallas Lee McBroom.

Jerry retired from Colgate-Palmolive after 22 years of service to care for his wife Carolyn who proceeded him in death. They had five children. Jerry loved the Lord and became an ordained minister in Indiana. One of his passions was carpentry. The furniture he made was beautiful.

Jerry married Charlene (Wall) Curry on September 6,2010 and they had 15 wonderful months before he suffered a stroke. Charlene has taken loving care of Jerry ever since.

He is survived by his wife Charlene (Wall-Curry) McBroom of Fort Myers FL, Children Jerry Lee (Claudia) McBroom of Clarksville IN, Jeffery McBroom of New Washington, IN and Angela (Barry) Porter of New Albany IN, lots of Grand and Great Grandchildren and 5 bonus children.

He was proceeded in death by Carolyn McBroom, a daughter Shannon and a son Joseph McBroom.
