Obituary

Jewellea Bain McDonald went home to Jesus on July 15, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 17, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Willard and Jaunice Pickler Bain.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joyce Figueroa.

Jewellea was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, cherished for her warm smile and generous spirit. After retiring, she and her beloved husband Butch settled in Palm Coast, Florida, where they enjoyed spending their days playing cards, bocce ball, bowling, and dining out with friends.

A proud and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for nearly 40 years, Jewellea dedicated much of her life to helping others. She served in jail ministry and mentored countless women on their journey to sobriety, offering support, compassion, and hope.

Jewellea and Butch built a beautiful life together, sharing over fifty years of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership.

Jewellea is survived by her loving husband, Butch. Brother Wayne (Karen) Bain of Raleigh, NC. Her children Tim (Tammy) McDonald, Bryan (Dedee) McDonald of Louisville, KY, Melissa (Robbie) Davis of Henderson, KY and James (Yuko) McDonald of Melbourne, FL.  Her grandchildren Michael (Cortnie) McDonald,

Hannah Mattingly, Stephen (Amber) McDonald, Jerrid McDonald, Madelyn (Paul) Stampley, Matthew Stampley, Levi (Casey) Davis, Laci (Avery) Pitt, Jimmy McDonald and Shawn McDonald.

Great grandchildren Bailey, Benson, Paxton, Prestyn, Easton, Boaz, Gracelyn, Bennett and Amos.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in "Jewellea's memory."

A celebration of Jewellea's life will be held in Kentucky at a later date.
