Jill Susan Sullivan, 77, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on July 26, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Jill was born on August 14, 1948, in Calis, Maine and was raised in Branford, Connecticut. Jill was a proud graduate of the Branford High School Class of 1967. In 1988, she relocated to Florida, where she spent the remainder of her life creating a warm home and a lasting legacy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marcus "Mark" Sullivan, in 2005, and her lifelong friend, Barbara Tangredi. Following Mark’s passing, Jill proudly turned her grief into purpose for a year, by volunteering at Hospice, dedicating her time to supporting other families during their most difficult moments.

Jill had a vibrant spirit and competitive nature and loved staying connected through Words with Friends. She was famously competitive on the digital board and would often boast about exactly how many games she had been playing at a single time and what her high scoring words were.

In her younger days, Jill loved to go antiquing and thrifting and would never pass up a good yard sale. She had the ability to find the best stuff in every place she explored.

Her greatest joy was her growing, bustling family. She leaves behind her two children, Marcie and Michael; her seven grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, Marcus, Michael, Trenton, Arron, and Aiden; and her five great-grandchildren, Blakely, Levi, Lily, Clayton, and Lainey. She is also survived by her devoted 14-year-old dog, Dolly, who was her constant, cherished companion and guardian.

Jill leaves behind her cousin, Diane Smith and lifelong friends Natalie Salzo, Kathy Bovée Becky Dix, along with several other dear friends. Her passing serves as a poignant reminder of how quickly time slips away. We so often say, "I should give them a call" or "I should send them a card," only for days to turn into years. While health challenges caused Jill to lose touch with many wonderful friends over time, they were never far from her thoughts. She was always checking Facebook to see what everyone was up to. She knew about your trips and vacations, your new family members, family events, birthdays, new homes, your pet updates – she watched it all - even if you hadn’t spoken in years. She was looking at your pictures and loving all of it.

In accordance with Jill’s explicit wishes, no formal funeral or memorial services will be held. Instead of a solemn gathering, her family asks that you reach out to an old friend you've been meaning to call, share a fond memory of Jill, and celebrate her life privately in your own way.
