Jim R. Brookins, 83, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on March 31, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol Anne, with whom he shared 21 years of marriage. Jim was deeply dedicated to her and to the life they built together. He was a proud father to Leah Dice, Jimmy Brookins, Kattie Foreman, Kevin Carmichael, and Rob Carmichael. He was also blessed with nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. Jim is further survived by nine nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his service, he worked in customer service for Pratt Inc., where he was known for his friendly personality and willingness to help others.

In his free time, Jim enjoyed playing golf, singing karaoke, playing cards, and watching racing. He loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was sharing stories, enjoying a laugh, or simply being together. Above all else, Jim’s greatest joy was his family, and he will be remembered for his devotion, kindness, and the love he gave so freely.

Jim’s legacy lives on in the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
