Joan Richmond Bowles, 95, of South Daytona, Florida passed away on September 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born on September 13, 1921 in Orange, New Jersey to the late Frederick and Catherine (Smith) Richmond. Joan was the owner of Joan's Beauty Salon from the 1960s to the 1980s. She loved planting flowers and she was known to be a good landlord. Joan survived by her son, Mark Balkham (wife Ruth) of Port Orange, Florida; her son, Barry Bowles (wife Kim) of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida; her seven grandchildren, Richard Balkham (wife Tami), Randall Balkham, Danielle Balkham, Donald Balkham, Kelsey Bowles, Abby Bowles, Brady Bowles; and her two great grandchildren Christian Balkham and Madisen Balkham. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Port Orange, Florida.
