Joan Marie Broderick, 60, of Cape Coral Florida, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at home with family by her side.

Joan was born in Lowell Massachusetts to Fred and Stella Dubay, on August 12, 1963. She graduated from Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA with her Associate Degree in Nursing.

She married the love of her life James F. Broderick on October 19, 1991, in Danvers Massachusetts.

She worked as an RN until 2004 at which time she became a Homemaker until 2023. She taught children's Sunday school at Gulf Coast Baptist Church. She loved spending time with and making memories with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games such as UNO, Sorry, Phase 10, and Clue; putting together puzzles, knitting and crochet, watching game shows such as Family Feud, gardening, going to Busch Gardens, and online games like Township.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, twin brother John, and siblings Sally, Paul, Peter, Leona, Lawrence, Linda, Ethel, and Henry.

Joan is survived by husband James F. Broderick, son Alan Dube and fiancé Angel Rigsby and their children Morghan (11) and Waylon (2), daughter Jennifer Shea and her children Aiden (16), Kayleigh (13), Rebecca (9), and Eli (5), daughter Nicole Broderick, daughter Renee Koontz and husband Alexander and their children Greyson (1) and Emma ( 2 months), sisters Betty Maher, Anna Connolly, Mary Jo Dubay, and brother Michael Dubay and wife Lois, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at Baldwin Brothers A Funeral & Cremation Society at 290 Nicholas Pkwy NW, Unit 19, Cape Coral, FL 33991 on Monday June 3, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm.  In lieu of flowers please make donations in Joan's name to St. Jude.
