Joan Karen Burton, 81, of Fort Myers, passed away July 03, 2021, at Lee Memorial Health Park Hospital, in Fort Myers, FL. Born July 11, 1939 in Branford, CT., she was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Loban. Joan was a retired secretary, having worked with Sprint Telephone. She enjoyed selling on Ebay, exploring family history, traveling, antiques, and collectibles. Surviving are her loving husband, Russell J. Burton of Fort Myers, FL., daughter, Jody Blake (Eric Drechsel) of Plantation, FL., son, Richard (Sandy) Burton of Dover, NH., daughter, Wendy Youngblood (Mike Tuning) of Fort Myers, FL., daughter, Kim (Jim) Scholl of Pacaskala, OH., brother, Joe (Kathy) Loban of Portland, CT., 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 8 nephews, and 5 nieces. Joan was preceded in death by her sisters, JoShirley, Joyce, and Janice. Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Fort Myers, assisted with arrangements.
