Joan Lee Ewers, 88 of Sarasota Fl, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. Born November 12, 1932, in Shannon, Illinois, daughter of John and Lilian (Plager) Janssen. Married Robert Ewers on February 12, 1955. He predeceased her on January 16, 2002. Joan was a sister, wife, mother, grandmother and evangelist. She was involved in numerous church ministries and spent most of her time witnessing, mentoring, loving others to Jesus and dancing before the Lord. Joan had a prayer for every person she met. Next to her greatest love being the Lord was her family and spending time with each one. Survived by children, Steven (Judi) Ewers, Pamela Moffitt, Susan Meisegeier, Christy (Todd) Jaeckel; grandchildren Matthew (Jennifer), Kimberly (Chris), Chelsea (Bill), Mark, Robert, Christopher (Chelsea), Sarah (Brett); and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, husband Robert, brother Richard Jansen, and grandson Luke Jonathan.  A Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at Restoration Fellowship, 5614 Richardson Rd, Sarasota.
