The gift of life is given to us individually. But the gift of love is shared by all of us collectively.

Joan Hause was a gift to this world on April 30th, 1930.

She was a bright light that inspired everyone who knew her. She made her surroundings more beautiful. She made life taste sweeter. She is familiar to all of us as a beloved daughter, a wife of 64 happily wedded years, an adventurer, a traveler, a gourmand, a fashionista, a group leader, a performer, an opera and music lover, an avid theatre goer, a party planner, an entertainer, a nurturer, a friend, a soul mate, a Mom, a Mom-in-law, and a grandparent (preferably "Gammy").

She was always armed with an abundance of motivation, encouragement, and an award-winning smile.

She was the glue that cemented our family and forged enduring relationships. She always found a way to do it all, but she just seemed to do it better. And she accomplished all with her unique blend of class and sass, style and sparkle, elegance and manners. She loved with her whole heart and soul, and she carved a path in this life with her own brilliant light, a cute top, smoking flats, and her signature pashmina.

We are lost without her as she was taken from us on February 14th, 2025. And it is significant most especially as the specific calendar date we use to celebrate love!

We are blessed to have known and cared for her. She will forever be loved deeply, passionately, and unreservedly.

Mom… wherever you are in heaven, I know that you have your wings because you made this "a wonderful life" for all of us. You will truly always be… divine!
