Joan K. Massie, 67, of Ocala, FL passed away June 12, 2019.  Born in Crab Orchard, TN she came to this area 17 years ago from Royal Palm Beach, FL.  Joan was retired from Publix and attended both Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and Community Bible Church in Ocala.  She will be remembered as a "social butterfly" and enjoyed volunteer work at the soup kitchen, Brother's Keeper thrift store, and more as well as water aerobics and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry Massie; daughter, Marcia Daubenmire (Matthew) of Ocala; son, John Meza (Charlotte) of Ocala; step-children, Richard Stone (Angela) of High Springs, FL and Leisa Carothers (Doug) of Sears, MI; brothers, Ed Durham (Chris) and Steve Durham of Ocala; grandchildren, Melissa, Sarah and John, Jr. Meza, Madilyn, Elizabeth and Natalie Daubenmire, Joey, Nikki and Corey Castillo, Sarah and Jessica Stone, great granddaughter, Emory and her pet, Lucy.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary, Jackie, Delores, Jona and James.  Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations 12250 SW 93 ^rd Ct.
