On Monday, October 19, 2026, Joan Ann (Meyers) Montileone, formerly of Millvale, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 84.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late William E. Montileone and the mother of Joan Montileone (the late Walter Boehler) of Pittsburgh, PA; Mary Montileone of Pittsburgh, PA; William Montileone of Pasadena, CA; Joseph Montileone of Los Angeles, CA, and Lori Montileone of Pittsburgh, PA. She was a cherished grandmother to Stacy Keller (Matthew Kelleher), Joshua Geyer, and Sarah Geyer (Nyle Khouja); and a proud great-grandmother to Clare and William, with another great-grandchild, Nazir, on the way. She was the dear sister of Nancy Stewart of Jupiter, FL; Mary Beckner of Menifee, CA; and Kathy Young of Sebring, FL.
Born on January 3, 1942, to Thomas and Mary Meyers on Pittsburgh’s North Side, Joan built a life filled with family, love, and a spirit of adventure. She married her beloved husband, William E. Montileone, in 1958 at the age of 16, and together they raised their five children in Millvale, PA. Joan had a vibrant personality and a special gift for bringing life, warmth, and energy to every situation. She had a deep love for animals. She never met an animal she didn’t love and took great joy in caring for and spoiling the many pets who were part of her life. She also enjoyed gardening, finding happiness in nurturing the things around her. With an adventurous spirit and a love of sunshine, sandy beaches, and the ocean, Joan eventually made her way to West Palm Beach, FL, where she embraced a new chapter of life.
Joan will be remembered for her lively spirit, her love of animals and gardening, and the lasting memories she created with her family.
