Joan Polizzi, 90, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, just two days before what would have been her 91st birthday. She was born on July 28, 1935, in New Jersey to John and Genevieve Page. 

Joan was the oldest of three sisters and was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynne, her parents, and her sister Lois. She is survived by her sister, Gail Sloan (Richard); her son, Robert Polizzi (Susan); her daughter, Joan Spaulding (Rick); her grandchildren, Michael Polizzi, Ricky Spaulding, Tyler Spaulding (Erica), Missy Blauer, and Jennifer Griffin (Beau); and six cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.

In 1989, Joan moved to Florida, where she built a successful career as a banking assistant until her retirement. Outside of work, she was a gifted seamstress whose talent and creativity were evident throughout her life. In her retirement years, she found great happiness in making beautiful doll clothes, a hobby that reflected her patience, craftsmanship, and generous spirit.

Joan will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her strong work ethic, and the love she poured into everything she created with her hands. Her kindness, warmth, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her family takes comfort in the many wonderful memories they shared with her and the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.

Honoring Joan’s wishes, there will be no formal service. She requested that her ashes be transformed into something creative and placed beside a koi pond—a fitting tribute to her artistic nature and her appreciation for beauty and peace.
