Joan Trawick Reid, 52 native Floridian died Wednesday, June 19, 2013.  Joan was born August 5, 1960 in New Smyrna Beach to Jesse Trawick and to the late Nina Harris Fraizer.  Joan was a Captain Flight Medic at Flagler County for 17 years.  She was a volunteer firefighter and "Firefighter of the Year" for the city of Oak Hill in the 1980's.  Joan was full of life and enjoyed camping, fishing and family.  She will be remembered for her care of others before herself.  Joan is survived by the love of her life, Leonard Reid; son, Joey Hocquard; daughter, Christine (Mark) Pickard; four grandchildren, Garret Hocquard, Austin Collins, Jessica  and Brayden Pickard; father, Jesse Trawick; sister, Janet Coss and brother, Jesse "Bubba" Trawick.  A life celebration will be held 6PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N Causeway, New Smyrna Beach.
