Joan Patricia Schlaepfer passed away on Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at the age of 90.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Schlaepfer, Children, Cindy Binckes, Kevin Binckes, Laurie (John) Montchal, and Joanne (Bill) Montchal, Grandchildren, Michael (Rachanda) Miano, Eric Alfredson, Desiree Bohne, and Nicolas (Deasja) Montchal, great grandchildren Kaiden and Kehlani Miano, pre deceased by her sister Mary "Dolly" Moran and survived by her brother John "Jack" Molinard.  Joan will be greatly missed by her family, close friends, and her cat Taffy. She was a warm and loving woman dedicated to her Catholic faith and also fighting for the underdog.  She loved water aerobics and chatting with the ladies at the gym.  Cooking dinner for her family and making Christmas magical for all she loved was just one of her many special traits.  She never said no to a shopping trip or weekend away with family.  She supported many charities and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19th , from 3pm to 5pm at Baldwin Brothers A Funeral & Cremation Society: Tavares Funeral Home , 1350 E Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL 32778.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Wednesday, December 20th, 9am at St Patrick Catholic Church , 6803 Old Hwy 441, Mt Dora, FL 32757.  Upon completion of the Mass, Burial will take place at Lone Oak Cemetery , 306 Thomas Ave, Leesburg, FL 34748.
