Joan Louise Stieb of Largo, FL passed away on June 18, 2025 at the age of 95.

Joan is survived by her children: Duane (Tanya) Brann, Joy Brann, Daryl (Theresa) Brann, Jan Montgomery, Dale (Teresa) Brann and Dennis Brann (Mary). Sister to Michael (Cathy) Stieb "Grandma Dallas" to Matthew, Eric, Alec, Paul, Sarah, Rebekah, Nathan, Daniel, Esther, Micah, Noah, Jeremy, Melinda, Travis and Michael. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Harriet Stieb, son in-law Tony Montgomery, and granddaughter Lindsey Brann

Joan loved her family and heritage and enjoyed summers at Sand Lake with cousins, aunts, uncles, children, grandchildren and friends.  Family aside, she enjoyed dancing and music the most.  She was also a seamstress and sewed all her own clothes. She whipped up some beautiful dance attire for square, round, ballroom and swing dancing.  Joan was actively dancing until she broke her femur in 2023.

Joan obtained a degree in teaching Montessori (early childhood).  For years she shared her skills with many of her grandchildren. She was a caregiver at heart.  She took great care of her parents up until the day they left us.  She was never afraid to seek alternative health solutions for herself, her parents, her children and grandchildren.

Joan was an avid "puzzler".  She had over 90 puzzles built, mod podged and hung on the walls of her apartment.

Please join family and friends at 5600 Ford Rd Commerce, MI for a celebration of Joan's life on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.  Internment will take place in National City, MI in the fall of 2025.
