Joan was born in Yonkers, NY. She worked as an executive secretary. Joan moved to Melbourne, FL from Exeter, RI. She held memberships in the American Sewing Guild and the Polish National Association. Survivors include her children Christina Hall and spouse Phil, Edward Takacs and spouse Monica, sisters Julie Murdzek and Lucia Melnychuk.

A funeral mass and service is being planned for September 1st at Ascension Church in Melbourne Florida.
