Joan L. Wertz, 81, of Ocala, FL, went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2017. She was born to William and Ester Riegel on March 24, 1936 in Reading, Pennsylvania. Joan was an active member of Belleview United Methodist Church and will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Wertz of 62 years. She is survived by her daughter, Linda(Terry) Hedrick; son, Wade (Shauna Greenup) Wertz; grandchildren, Joshua Hedrick, Sarah Hedrick, Joe Cuskey, Julian Wertz, Trinity Wertz; sister-in-law, Florence Yoder and many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held on January 8, 2017 at Belleview United Methodist Church 5640 SE Brown Road Belleview, FL 34420. Family will receive friends starting at 2 PM with the service starting at 2:30 PM. Following the service light refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to Hospice of Marion County.
