JoAnn was preceded in death by: her son, Robert Craddock III in 1988; her first husband Robert Craddock II in 1969; and her second husband George Amelung in 2003 as well as his 2 children Sharon and Harold.

JoAnn's family also includes 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and her beloved siblings: Sharon Betts (husband Steve) of The Villages, FL; David Schroeder (wife Linda) of San Antonio, TX; Carolyn Haller (husband Gene) of Cedar Falls, IA; and Lyle Schroeder (wife Anna Mae) – both deceased.

JoAnn was born and raised on a family farm near New Hampton, IA. She worked in administration for the FBI in Washington D.C., then married and raised 4 children in Memphis, TN where she also served Faith Lutheran Church as Organist and Treasurer for many years. She retired to Waterloo, IA and then after the passing of her second husband George, moved to The Villages, FL in 2009. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.
