Joe Horvath, 91, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away at home on April 24, 2026, surrounded by his three loving children. Joe was born in Hungary on April 29, 1934, and moved to New York in 1956. 

Joe was initiated as a Steamfitter in New York for Local 638 in 1966 until he retired and relocated to Sarasota in 1992. During retirement, Joe started a Mr. Fix-It business and continued to serve his family, friends and neighbors. Joe had a deep love for fishing, boating, the beach, crabbing and enjoying the fruits of the sea. He was an incredible cook especially when it came to Hungarian dishes, most notably his Chicken Paprikosh. Joe is survived by his children, Brian, Joseph and Debra Horvath, his sister Magdolna Horvath, his brother Lajos Horvath, his daughter-in-law, Denise Whittlin-Horvath, and his cherished grandchildren, Sara, Jason, Maryn and Chance Horvath, and stepchildren, Sandor and Sylvia Farkas. 

We honored him by celebrating his 92nd birthday with a Celebration of Life on April 29, 2026.
