We are saddened to announce the passing of Joel Ernest Lowney. Joel passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. Joel was born in Duluth, MN.

He is survived by his wife Georgianne of 52 years and brother-in-law Allen Anderson, sister-in-law Kathy Anderson and many nieces and nephews.

He was a proud Veteran of the Army and Air National Guards. Joel was an avid Commercial Pilot and owner of an Aviation Business in MN.

Joel logged 15,000 accident-free hours in many types of aircraft, but without a doubt, Sea Plane flying was his real love. He attended state-wide aviation seminars of which he was an officer. In later years, he loved traveling with his wife Georgianne in his motor home. Boating and fishing were always a central part of his life.

Joel was a generous, kind person and a loving husband. He was known to many as "Mr. Santa."

He was predeceased in death by his parents Hazelle and Joseph, his sister Margaret Spilane, brother-in-law Walter Anderson and sister-in-law Shelley Anderson.

The family will honor Joel with a mass of Christian Burial on June 26 ^, 2025, at 11 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church. 720 12 ^th St, Clermont, FL 34711.
