John Anton Berg Jr., 78,   passed away peacefully, Monday, Oct. 17th while in the care of  The Villages Hospice House in The Villages, FL.  John was born August 9, 1938, in Manhattan, NY.  He was the son of John Anton (Tony)  and Rita Berg.  He was one of 4 siblings.

For most of his life in Long Island, NY and Northfield, CT,  John was a construction and drywall contractor.  After moving to Florida, John specialized in Custom Ceramic Tile-work.  He loved to work with his  hands and he was meticulous and  a master craftsman at anything he did.  Later in life,  one of his favorite hobbies was restoring old pick up trucks.  John was an animal lover all his life, but dogs was his passion.

In addition to long time friend, Ramona Hanson, of Lady Lake, FL, he is survived by two sons, John Anton Berg III and his wife Sherilyn of Fruitland Park, FL, Lawrence(Larry) Berg and his wife Donna of Northfield, CT and two daughters, Donna Garrison and fiance Jason of New Hartford, CT and Lori Ann Warner and husband Eugene of Northfield, CT; two sisters, Georgann(Jan) Marie Berlin and husband Jack of Lady Lake, FL, Jacqueline Ardeen (Deenie)Lewis and husband Paul of Montana;  nephew John Berlin and wife Jennifer of Lady Lake, FL  and many grand children and great-grand children.

John was predeceased by his brother Larry Berg.
