"Grandpa, Beach Bum, and Biker" John Shields Bryan of Daytona Beach Shores, FL was born May 27th, 1943 in Washington DC. A former resident of Salem Virginia, Chardon & Concord Ohio, John held dear to his heart his service time as a United States Marine. John enjoyed fishing, car racing, cooking, entertaining, and becoming a local Daytona Shores beach "fixture". He looked forward to his full-time retirement from Sales (electronics industry) in 2005, moving to Daytona and living life to its fullest.  Since retirement, John spent and enjoyed many days (and nights) entertaining and hosting family, friends and grandsons at his home. John passed July 8, 2018 at The Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Florida. He is survived by son, Ronald Bryan; daughter-in-law, Nanette (Tamburro) Bryan; grandsons, Brandon & Dillan Bryan; sister, Susan (Ken) Baker; former wife of 21 years, Rita Charlene (Wildman) Bryan; nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, John & Mary (Shields) Bryan; daughter, Michelle Renee Bryan; and sister Joan King. A private family remembrance will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
