John R. Dune, 73, of Edgewater, Florida passed away August 4, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Mansfield, Ohio to John L. and Eleanor (Savene) Dune on December 18, 1940 where he lived most of his life until retiring to Florida. He retired from Sprintl United Telecom after 30 years of service and was a member of the Mansfield Muzzleloader Club, Percheron Society, Mansfield Harley Owners Group and Marine Discovery Center. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kay (Wisler), his sons John C. (Allison), Mike (Lyn), daughters Jenny (Bob) Potts, Laurie (Roger) Crawford, his grandchildren, Christopher and Zachary Tadijanac, John L. Dune, Shelby Seymour, Leah Potts, Jordan Jurich and Makenna Dune, two great grandchildren Trent and Abagail, his sister Sharon (John) Forrest and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on August 8, 2014 in Edgewater, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Marine Discovery Center, 520 Barracuda Blvd, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32169.
