John Henry Filbert, 87, of Manhattan, NY passed away on October 14, 2016 at The Bishop's Glen Assisted Living Facility, Holly Hill, Florida. He was born on March 1, 1929 in Brooklyn New York to the late George and Elizabeth Filbert. He was a graduate of Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, New York, and he attended New York University. He managed several commercial properties in New York City, including the Chrysler Building. He was a CPM, RPA, and a Licensed New York Real Estate Broker. He also enjoyed traveling. John is survived by his son, Christopher Filbert of Florida; his son, Glenn Filbert of Alaska; his daughter, Lynda Kimple of New Jersey; his daughter, Theresa Linskey of New Jersey; his eight grandchildren and his four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Kerin. Memorial donations may be made in memory of John to the Lewy Body Association, www.LBDA.org.
