John Foster Hamilton Jr., 90, of Cape Coral, FL., passed away September 8, 2018. John was born November 27, 1927 in Boston, MA. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy in the Pacific theater during World War II. He later earned a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University and worked for GTE as an engineer for 25 years. John retired and moved to Florida from California in 1986. Surviving are his sons Michael Hamilton of Ft. Myers, FL., Timothy Hamilton of Portage, IN., and Daniel Hamilton of Cornville, AZ., grandsons Patrick, Matthew, Christopher, and Benjamin Hamilton, granddaughters Andrea and Sarah Hamilton, as well as 3 great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his wife Joan Marie (Gardner) Hamilton in 2008. He will be laid to rest alongside her at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. on Cape Cod.
