It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Kenneth "Jack" Murray, age 86, on December 6, 2023. Jack was born on April 19, 1937, in the Bronx. He attended St. Cecilia High School in Englewood, NJ, and went on to Manhattan College and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Jack was a beloved husband, cherished father, doting grandfather, and loyal friend.

As an entrepreneur Jack could not have asked for a better partner than his wife of 62 years Diane, with whom he took risks and shared life's joys. Together Jack and Diane raised two wonderful children, a son John resides in Sun Valley, ID and a daughter Karen Culkin (Peter) reside in Naples, FL. Jack is also survived by his adored grandchildren George Murray and Attie Murray, his siblings, nieces and nephews.

Jack lived his life on his own terms. He spent much of his career with IBM. Then, upon the launch of the IBM personal computer (PC) in 1981, Jack had the vision to leave IBM and start his own company. He formed a start-up called Information Product Centers (IPC).Jack built IPC for fifteen years, and in 1998 successfully exited the business with the sale to a publicly traded company.

Jack supported several good causes. He served Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ as a member of the Board of Trustees for many years. As an avid golfer, Jack took pride in serving two-terms as President of Arcola Country Club in Paramus, NJ. He was a long-time member of The Hole-In-The-Wall Golf Club in Naples, FL.

Jack took care of his friends and was the rock of his family. His warmth, wisdom, and quick wit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and resilience that will be carried on by those who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 11:00am at Saint William Catholic Church, Naples, FL.
