Obituary

John Joseph Infantino, age 77, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

John was born on July 7, 1948, in Ragusa Ibla, Sicily, Italy, to the late Rosario Infantino and Georgina Raniola. He and his wife of 52 years, Sharon Infantino, made The Villages their home for the past 20 years after relocating from Fogelsville, Pennsylvania.

John worked for 25 years with Lehigh Valley Dairies in Allentown and Lansdale, Pennsylvania, where he rose to the role of Controller. He later spent approximately 15 years working as an accountant and investor and devoted more than 50 years to his career as a tax accountant. Most recently, he worked with American Tax Service at Sumter Landing in The Villages.

John was a graduate of Penn State University and earned a Master’s degree in Business from Lehigh University. While at Penn State, he was a member of the Alpha Phi Delta fraternity, serving as president for two years. A proud alumnus, John had a lifelong love of Penn State football, which remained one of his greatest passions.

Earlier in life, John served six years in the Army National Guard as a tank repairman and was recognized as a sharpshooter. In 1972, he was deployed to Reading, Pennsylvania, where he assisted with flood relief efforts by setting sandbags and helping rescue residents from flooded homes.

In his spare time, John most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He treasured their visits to Florida, where they enjoyed swimming, miniature golf, playing cards, and trips to Disney and Universal parks. Card games were a favorite pastime, filled with laughter and memories that will long be cherished.

John is survived by his wife, Sharon Infantino; his son, John, his wife, Robyn, and their children, Kylie and Jonathan; his daughter, Gina, her husband, Chris, and their children, Christian, Kairos, and Eliana; his daughter, Valerie, her husband, Michael, and their children, Giacobbe and Gianna; and his brother, Angelo, and Angelo’s wife, Sue.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosario and Georgina Infantino, and his brother, George Infantino. George’s wife, Mary, survives him.

John loved life, family, and the activities that brought loved ones together. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him and by those who had the privilege of working with him.
