Mr. John S. Lombardi formerly of Beverly, MA died peacefully in his sleep on September 1. He was 81. He was the son of the late Helena Tropeano and John Lombardi. He was raised and educated in the Beverly school system. After graduation from Beverly High School he attended Newman Prep School in Boston. He continued his education at California Coastal University and received a BA and masters degree in business.

He was married to Jeanne Anderson Lombardi, formerly of Manchester-by-the-Sea, for 57 years. She was the love of his life.

He is also survived by his daughter, Christina Lombardi-Davis, PHD (Scott), and his son, Kevin John Lombardi (Leah), grandchildren, Nathaniel Lombardi, Astrid Lombardi-Siefka, and Freya Lombardi-Siefka. He was predeceased by his sister Joanne Bates and brother Tony Albano.

John was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation and retired after 40 years, as a retail marketing manager.

He was a life member of the Beverly/Salem Elks. He was also a member of the Moose.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
