It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Francis Matyskiela, Jr.   John was a beloved husband father and grandfather who passed away on March 19th 2025, at the age of 82.

John was born on October 31st 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut and lived a life full of joy, laughter and a deep love for his family and friends. He was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, love of Nascar and a passion for gardening. John served our country in the US Air Force as an air traffic control operator.

John was predeceased by his wife, Diane Matyskiela and his brother Gary Matyskiela.  He is survived by his brother Terry (Linda) Matyskiela, children, Tracy (Joan) Matyskiela, Stacy Tomeo (Chris), grandchildren Jaime, Kimberly, Jennifer, Rocky and Joey, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Brodie.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to any local American Legion or VFW in John's name as he was a dedicated to veteran affairs.
