John Mark McCaughey passed away peacefully at his home in Fort Myers, Florida on February 28th, 2026, he was 69 years old. 

He was born on July 29th, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pa.

John joined the Marines when he was 17 years old, he was first stationed in Hawaii, where he drove an Admiral and then in Quantico, Virginia as a Pistol and Rifle Instructor.

John is survived by his loving wife Jean C. and daughter, Jeanne Michelle. Also survived by sisters, Kathleen Rocchi and Margaret Hondros (Jack).

Preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, James, David, Francis, Charles and sister Patricia, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Saint Columbkille Catholic Church. Internment immediately following at Saint Columbkille Catholic Church.
