John Paul Megic Jr., of Ocala, Florida passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born on September 29, 1941, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to John Paul Megic Sr. and Lottie Makowski, who preceded him in death. John served in the United States Army, and attended Penn State University and Temple University, where he received a Masters Degree in Hospital Administration. He later married Helen Gail Megic on June 11, 1966. John and Gail later settled in Florida, where he enjoyed painting, collecting antiques, gardening, and most of all, spending time with Gail. They were married for 50 years until her passing.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Catherine and Doug Schleichert and Brian and Tammy Megic, as well as four grandchildren: Cameron, Alexis, Kyler, and Liam.

He will be missed by his family and friends.

In keeping with his wishes, no memorial service will be held.
